Growing up in a family that valued photography I was certainly destined to have a camera in my hands!
I view the world a little bit differently than some, I look for moments, details, and most of all the story of whatever and whomever is in front of my camera. I'm a former sports mom, coach, and sports administrator so sports photography is like breathing for me. I love to give my clients their story in portraits, because I do truly believe that a picture is worth a thousand words!
How Did I Start?
From an early age I was given a Kodak 110 camera that I loved. I used my allowance to buy and
develop my film. I still have most of those photos tucked away and laugh as I look at them. Digital cameras were a godsend for me, it allowed me to venture into new areas with out the fear of "will this turn out". That is when it went from something fun to a new burning passion.
The last fifteen years have been about constant growth and exploration with my photography. I love to try new things, push my own limits (and sometimes the limits of my equipment) to gain new perspectives. Being a full time photographer has been literally the hardest job I've ever loved!
Where I Am Now:
I am 100% a visual storyteller! No matter what my subject is about every photo tells a story. From families to seniors, sports to styled shoots I always feel connected with what I am capturing. I also love to have fun with my clients on our shoots! I'm pretty goofy and love to catch people being themselves.
Who Am I Outside of Photography?
I'm a wife of 25 years to the most amazing man in the world. I'm the mom to Alexandra and Zachary who are both incredible humans and make me proud everyday. I'm a woman who loves life and who has a wicked sense of humor. I would rather laugh than cry, make new friends, be a part of my community, and I strive to be the best human I can be. Oh did I say how much I LOVE to travel?? New people, new places, I love it all!
